The Wonderful World of Adland
This was a case film for one of our award entries that eventually bagged a Bronze Abby. 'Irreverence' was the key word here - irreverence for what Adland had become.
I wrote the lyrics to the song in about thirty minutes and borrowed the tune from 'The Big Rock Candy Mountain'. (I had watched 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?' sometime earlier that month). After having one of our more musically gifted colleagues give it a go at singing, it was decided that I should give my own rendition. Our boss described my voice as "beautifully flat" and the rest, as they say, is history.
